Based in the North East of England, in Barnard Castle, Teesdale in Co. Durham, I have been passionate about taking photographs for over 40 years. Like many people these days, most of my work is digital, but film can be used if requested. As well as photographing weddings, events, sports (rugby, motor sports among others) and commercial items, I also take landscape and nature / wildlife images for my stock and fine art collections.

I travel extensively in the Dale - Eggleston, Middleton in Teesdale - as well as around the county - Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Durham - so distance is seldom an obstacle.

Professional Nikon cameras and lenses are used to ensure the best possible image in all conditions. To ensure maximum quality, all pictures are taken in a RAW format and processed on fully colour managed equipment before printing. Printing is carried out using the latest pigment inks for the Giclée process on an acid free substrate to get maximum image longevity. (Further details on ink longevity can be obtained from Wilhelm Imaging Research).

When on a commission, I will always have at least two cameras, spare lenses and ancillaries with me to avoid any equipment malfunction preventing me taking the images required for my client.

I also have full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurances and for peace of mind when working with youths or vulnerable people, I maintain enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and these documents can be shown on request.

I hold an Associateship Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society and have had images selected for their Annual International Digital Image exhibition. I also hold an Associate Distinction from the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers and I am a full member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
